Vega Squadron win UCC Season 2

Vega Squadron have defeated PiTER 2-0 (16-14 on de_inferno and 16-8 on de_mirage) at the Uprise Champions Cup Season 2 LAN Finals inside the Moscow Cyber Stadium.

The Uprise Champions Cup Season 2 ran over the course of several months in order to determine the best teams in the CIS region (although Na`Vi and HellRaisers did not take part in the league).

In the end, it was four Russian teams that placed top two in each group and advanced to the offline finals, where $3,200 was up for grabs.

Taking place on May 23rd, the UCC Season 2 LAN Finals saw a best-of-three single elimination bracket in place to determine the winner.

wayLander's PiTER fall in the grand final of the UCC LAN Finals 

Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov's ACES and Nikolay "⁠latro⁠" Lee's USSR teams lost to Vega Squadron and PiTER in the semi-finals, respectively. The grand final saw the favourites PiTER fall in an upset loss to Vega Squadron, a team composed of three Russian players and two Ukrainians.

USSR managed to defeat ACES in a best-of-one as well to claim third place, meaning that the final standings are:

1. Vega Squadron - $1,000
2. PiTER - $700
3. USSR - $300
4. ACES 

The remaining $1,000 in the total prize-pool was used in the way of travel support.
